Rapper Jack Harlow flew out to the opening of the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, with Johnny Depp as Moonman making a surprise float above the audience. Styles won Album of the Year for “Harry’s House”. He was unable to attend the awards due to a show at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Harlow is doing double duty, joining LL Cool J and Nicki Minaj as the show’s host.

Minaj performs hits throughout her career and wins the show’s Video Vanguard Award.The honor is named after Michael Jackson.
