Whatever I bring to the Marathon City Council, I give it to God’s glory. I have a lot of ideas, but so do our locals. Marathon’s main goals are financial and growth responsibility and accountability, open and accessible city government, and improved workflow management within the city’s building sector.

After many years of running large, successful teams and businesses in the Keys and South Florida, I want to be the voice of the council to run city government like a business. It includes staffing, performance standards, accountability, transparency and customer service to residents and local businesses.

I am a very clear critical thinker, have attended every city council meeting for the past 18 months and am well versed in the city’s business.

I bring honesty, transparency and good old fashioned common sense that seems to be lacking throughout our city leadership. I have had good relationships with many hardworking men and women in our city and over the years have given me much insight into how our current policies encourage wasteful spending. We need to run our city like a responsible business.

Kevin Macaulay

I have an unwavering determination to make life better for marathoners. To achieve this goal, I bring a strong work ethic, a transparent approach to decision-making, creative problem-solving skills, and a fresh and underrepresented voice to the city table. As a 36 year old working class resident living here, I understand the daily struggles that many individuals and families go through here. I will continue and expand our multiple fights for affordable housing, return of local decision-making power, sensible vacation rental regulation, and environmental protection while ensuring financial responsibility to Marathon taxpayers. i am ready.
