The Florida Seminoles open the ACC against the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night. The 2-0 Seminoles are in a position they haven’t reached yet under head coach Mike Nobel. Following a big win against LSU and his BYE week, this game will test how teams respond to success. Louisville, on the other hand, can’t let him go 0-2 in conference play after being blown away by Syracuse in Week 1.

Two of the best quarterbacks in the ACC will be on the team, Florida State’s Jordan Travis and Louisville’s Malik Cunningham. The Cardinals’ offense struggled in his first two games of the season, but Cunningham literally led his team to victory at his UCF last weekend. He ran 17 times for 121 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown run.
The Seminoles try to run the ball against a Louisville defense that allowed UCF and Syracuse 208 yards on the ground. Treshaun Ward, Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili will have their fair share of the opportunity to make an impact. Defensively, it is imperative to keep Cunningham in check and not lose containment in the scramble.
Florida State and Louisville have played 22 times, with the Seminoles leading 16-6. However, the Cardinals have won 4 of their last 6 games. FSU has yet to beat Louisville with Norvell as head coach.
