Hewlett-Packard, known for printers and computer technology, has announced in a press release that it has a new technology called SitePrint that is intended to aid construction operations. A new robot helps mark the floor with ink, placing the markers precisely according to what the project blueprint reflects in the work.

The robot has three wheels, ejects ink when it needs to mark a surface to do work, and acts as a device that reflects the worker’s plans. It’s a small device that works with a remote control tablet, and its ink has the option to dry out during the construction project.

Autonomous robots for construction projects

HP first brought the robot to the renovation of Penn Station’s LIRR train hall in New York to show it performs its functions for the job at hand. The video showed the autonomous robots servicing on command, marking up lines that workers must follow to complete a project.

HP SitePrint can help construction companies and businesses with other projects and work to meet their future needs. It also helps you save time preparing your site for marking as the bot does the marking for your team.

Robots help humans do their jobs

Various businesses around the world are adopting robots to bring additional assistance and hands to focus on their daily needs and tasks, giving their workforce a greater presence. There is now significant assistance that robots will bring to society, most of which are focused on assisting the needs and requirements of ordinary people, even in the medical community.

This is why many companies like Intel are continuously working to improve robot performance and technology through many deep learning programs and trainings.

A robot in China is also of great help to the medical technology sector by performing COVID-19 tests on patients who need to know if they have contracted the virus.

In the past, robots were taboo and questioned as mechanical additions to enterprises, but now robots serve a wide variety of functions and provide critical assistance.

HP’s latest robots are very helpful in helping with construction. Even though robots don’t lift heavy objects, they can help in efforts to complete projects faster and more efficiently. It also helps ensure that measurements are accurate in the construction process and helps place ink on the ground to guide workers.
